McIntosh MT10 tops the brand series, consisting of two vinyl players. All the main adjustments of the device (clamping force, anti-skating, installation/adjustment of the cartridge) are made in advance on the factory conveyor.

The perfectly damped case of the McIntosh MT10 model is designed as a “sandwich” consisting of a polished stainless steel base, an aluminum plate and an acrylic top panel. This combination of different materials helps to cope with resonances and vibrations. The front glass panel is equipped with fiber optic backlighting in combination with LED diodes. In its center there is an arrow indicator with blue backlighting, displaying the rotation speed of the disk (33.3, 45 and 78 rpm), which is controlled by an electronic servo system using stroboscopic notches read by an optical sensor. On the left side of the facade there is a speed switch, and on the right side there is a handle for supplying power to the motor and switching to standby mode.

The McIntosh MT10 player has a massive platter with internal green backlighting, weighing over 5 kg and measuring 64 mm in height. The platter is made of special acrylic (silicone/acrylic) on a CNC machine and mounted on a ceramic bearing with a powerful magnetic suspension, providing smooth rotation with minimal friction. It is spun using a belt drive and a high-precision brushless DC electric motor made in Switzerland. Power is supplied from an external adapter.

The tonearm has a height-adjustable base. A pair of horizontal sapphire bearings and two vertical ceramic bearings are used. The rigid straight tonearm tube is made of duralumin with a special damping material. The model is equipped with an MC cartridge MCС10 with a body made of durable, resonance-resistant ebony and an output voltage of 0.5 mV. Its needle has an elliptical profile and the needle holder is made of aluminum.

The rear panel of the McIntosh MT10 case has an RCA output for connection to a phono preamplifier and a ground terminal. There are two Power Control connectors, which are used to remotely turn on the power and backlight of the MT10 front panel, as well as to activate the power of McIntosh components connected to the player. There are elements designed to adjust the brightness of the illumination of the turntable and to fine-tune the rotation speed.
