The European Audio Team, or EAT, a subsidiary of Pro-Ject, has unveiled its latest turntable from the C-Major series. Named the C-Dur Concrete, this model features a sturdy chassis made of solid concrete, a 10-inch carbon fiber tonearm, and a variety of premium components. The C-Dur series turntable, crafted from concrete, boasts a handmade base that weighs nearly 32 kg. This substantial design provides exceptional damping capabilities, effectively minimizing interference and vibrations.
The EAT C-Note features a 10-inch arm designed for exceptional stability and minimal friction. Its internal silicone lubricant effectively diminishes resonances by more than 50%. Both the main plate and the 900-gram sub-plate are constructed from solid aluminum. The turntable motor is housed in a separate steel system, ensuring it operates quietly and is well-isolated. The EAT C-Dur Concrete utilizes a polished rubber belt to facilitate accurate rotation transmission to the aluminum sub-chassis. With electronic speed control, users can easily and precisely adjust the rotation speed for both 33 and 45 rpm.
The turntable is equipped with a semi-balanced 5P DIN to RCA cable, facilitating a straightforward upgrade to a fully balanced cable. This innovative turntable features a distinctive concrete chassis. The robust concrete composition effectively reduces vibrations and resonances, leading to outstanding sound clarity. Additionally, this design imparts a contemporary and sophisticated look, seamlessly integrating into any interior style. Each chassis exhibits slight variations in appearance due to the unique casting process of the concrete. The E.A.T. turntable C major Concrete is offered at a price of approximately $7,490.
