WiiM has expanded its portfolio with the Sound Lite, a minimalist smart speaker that can play high-resolution music files. The Sound Lite can play independently. Two units can be configured as a stereo pair, and of course, it features multi-room support. Buyers can choose between white and black versions.

The WiiM Sound Lite is presented as a compact, smart speaker that can operate independently, be paired for stereo playback, or integrated into multi-room or 5.1 home theater systems with other WiiM devices, including the recently launched WiiM Sound. The WiiM Sound Lite is slightly smaller than the WiiM Sound and omits the information screen. The WiiM Sound Lite does offer voice control via the optional WiiM Voice Remote 2.

The user can play high-resolution music files up to 24-bit/192 kHz. The total amplifier power is 100 watts distributed across a single 4-inch long-throw woofer and two 1-inch silk-dome tweeters. Furthermore, the manufacturer promises automatic room optimization with the WiiM’s AI RoomFit, for which the user only needs a smartphone. This should improve sound quality.
The Sound Lite connects via Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, or Ethernet (RJ45 UTP) and can stream directly from apps like Google Cast, Spotify/TIDAL/Qobuz Connect, and Alexa Cast. It also supports DLNA, Roon, and Logitech Media Server. Multi-room grouping works with all Wii U devices, including its big brother, Sound Lite, Amps, Streamers, and Sub Pro.
The speaker can be used solo, as a stereo pair, or combined with the larger WiiM Sound for mixed left and right channels. It can also serve as a center or surround speaker in compatible 5.1 home theater setups. The sleek, screen-free enclosure allows for placement on a shelf, bedside, wall-mounted, or on a stand.

The Sound Lite smart speaker is naturally supported by the reliable WiiM Home app, which allows you to control playback, equalizer, presets, alarms, and device groups from a single location. Additional features include smart presets and music alarms, allowing you to integrate listening into your daily routine. Advanced equalizer settings allow users to tailor the sound to their environment and preferences.
