The Triangle Borea Active BR03 Connect is a stereo pair, with one speaker housing all the necessary electronics, and the other connected to it via the included cable. Thus, the speakers only require one electrical outlet to operate. All signal sources are also connected to only one speaker, which simplifies the system layout.
The Triangle Borea Active BR03 Connect is equipped with an HDMI ARC port, which allows you to use it as an external audio system for your TV and control the speakers from your TV remote thanks to CEC support. In addition, the monitors are now equipped with a USB-B port, allowing you to connect them to a computer “digitally”, which makes these speakers a natural addition to your workstation or laptop. Other connectivity options remain the same, including a built-in phono preamplifier for vinyl lovers.
The wireless capabilities of the Triangle Borea Active BR03 Connect include a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter with aptX HD Low Latency, supporting audio streaming at up to 24-bit/48 kHz. There are also coaxial and optical digital inputs, as well as an analog RCA output for connecting an active subwoofer.
The speaker housings are made of high-density wood fiber panels HDF and are equipped with the proprietary vibration damping system DVAS. Thanks to this, the Triangle Borea Active BR03 Connect sound clear and uncolored at high volumes. The model has a two-way configuration and is equipped with a 165 mm woofer, as well as a tweeter with a soft dome with a diameter of 25 mm. It is equipped with a small horn with a phase plug – this design is called EFS and provides an additional increase in sound quality at high frequencies. The power of the built-in amplifiers of the Triangle Borea Active BR03 Connect is 60 W. The amplifiers operate in class D, which ensures their high efficiency and stability even during long-term listening to music at increased output power.
The Triangle Borea Active BR03 Connect is controlled by a small but very well-designed remote control. It provides access to all the functions of the speaker system, including tone adjustments for low and high frequencies, as well as activation of the loudness compensation mode (frequency correction of the sound, necessary when listening to music at low volume). You can also use the remote control to control music playback on a connected mobile device.
