Technics SC-CX700 is an active speaker system that combines an amplifier, network streaming capabilities and even a phono preamplifier, designed to compete with such leaders in this category as wireless speakers  KEF LS50 Wireless II . Wireless speakers Technics CX700 are equipped with a newly developed coaxial driver Phase Precision Driver 4 with a lightweight ring tweeter. The driver uses a phase-inverted acoustic design with a slotted Smooth Flow port on the front panel. The sound system is supported by the proprietary JENO-Engine amplifier, operating in class D. However, the manufacturer has not yet presented detailed technical specifications, while promising “amazing, dynamic sound that can fill any room.”
The Technics SC-CX700’s excellent connectivity and network streaming capabilities allow it to be used as a full-fledged wireless stereo system and even as an external audio system for a TV thanks to the HDMI ARC port. The Technics CX700 easily integrates into your home network via Wi-Fi, supports Google Cast and updated streaming services Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon, as well as Internet radio.
There is also a phono input on board that is compatible with MM-type magnetic heads, allowing direct connection of gramophone players such as the legendary Technics SL-1300G. The switching arsenal also includes a linear analog input on a 3.5 mm mini-jack connector, an Ethernet LAN network port, a USB-C port, an analog output for an active subwoofer and a P/S Link port for connecting a second speaker.
The Technics SC-CX700 wireless system is available in three finishes: Charcoal Black, Silky Gray, and Terracotta Brown. The speaker housings are covered in Dinamica microfiber, which resembles suede. The control buttons are located on the top of the speakers, and a remote control is included. The system can also be controlled via the proprietary Audio Centre mobile application, which includes Technics SpaceTune software for automatic sound calibration to the acoustic conditions of the room.
Technics says that special attention has been paid to vibration isolation of the cabinet and drivers to eliminate the influence of vibrations on sound quality. The new Model Based Diaphragm Control (MBDC) technology allows precise control of the speaker cone movement, ensuring clarity of sound even at high volumes. The Technics SC-CX700 audio system sets new benchmarks in modern audio entertainment, harmoniously combining aesthetic elements that meet the requirements of a modern lifestyle with the Japanese brand’s extensive experience in audio technology.
