Songer Audio (SA) has introduced a new floorstanding speaker model, simply named S1x. This model features the brand’s latest driver, the V4 Nova, which boasts a reengineered geometry and a precision-milled ultra-low carbon steel construction. The excitation coil tip is crafted from permendur, known for its superior saturation flux density compared to all other commercially available metals.
In its manufacturing process, the company employs advanced deep cryogenic treatment technology, where the Nova voice coil wire is submerged in liquid nitrogen for 48 hours at a temperature of -300 degrees Fahrenheit. This technique enhances the purity, detail, and accuracy of the sound produced.
The cabinet, constructed from solid hardwood, has seen enhancements in both its casing and damping features. Additionally, all internal wiring has been refreshed. This new model functions within a frequency range of 27 Hz to 20,000 Hz and boasts a sensitivity rating of 95 dB. The price is set at $45,000 for a pair, which includes two power supplies.
