SMSL RAW Pro-DAC1: Tailored for audiophiles

SMSL has launched the RAW PRO-DAC1, a cutting-edge device tailored for audiophiles who appreciate advanced technology and superior sound quality. This model utilizes the ES9039MSPRO chip from the renowned American manufacturer ESS, ensuring precise and authentic audio reproduction.

The DAC features integrated MQA decoding and supports MQA and MQA-CD playback through USB, optical, and coaxial inputs, enabling the transmission of the original sound from master recordings in a compact format.

The third-generation USB solution based on the XMOS XU-316 chip is designed to support 32-bit audio, DoP, and native DSD formats. It is capable of playing PCM audio at rates up to 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD512, delivering exceptional detail and clarity.

Significant efforts have been made to minimize jitter through the use of low-noise crystal oscillators and an enhanced clock circuit. The analog circuitry is powered by a specialized low-noise source, ensuring stable performance and reduced interference.

The RAW PRO-DAC1 offers a diverse array of connectivity options, including USB, optical, coaxial, Bluetooth, and AES/EBU. Outputs include both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections. DSD transfer is supported across all interfaces except for Bluetooth, with DoP64 formats available for coaxial, optical, and AES/EBU connections.

Additional features include gold-plated terminals for dependable connections, Bluetooth 5.1 with support for LDAC, aptX/HD, SBC, and AAC for wireless playback, as well as a convenient remote control for easy access to the device’s functions.

The firmware of the RAW PRO-DAC1 is user-updatable, enabling the addition of new features and enhancements as they are released.
