Philips introduces a compact soundbar as low as a matchbox but while maintaining room-filling Dolby Atmos sound. Delivery will start during the course of this month and Philips has launched a discount promotion for those who would buy a new Ambilight television from Philips at the same time.

Philips TAB6309

The TAB6309 from Philips is a low and narrow soundbar and, according to the manufacturer, is the perfect partner for any Ambilight TV, even for devices with the lowest stands or feet. The small soundbar from Philips offers room-filling sound without any risk of overlapping the screen thanks to its exceptionally low profile of only 37 millimeters high (comparable to the height of a matchbox). The width of approximately 88 centimeters has also been considered; Due to its limited width, it does not protrude when used in combination with a 43-inch TV and it can be neatly concealed between the feet of larger TV sizes.

Despite the low height of the Philips TAB6309 soundbar, it delivers high-quality three-dimensional room-filling sound thanks to both Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X compatibility, all in a 2.1 system with an impressive 320 Watt maximum amplifier power.

The powerful wireless subwoofer is also very compact and can be conveniently placed either horizontally or vertically so that it can be placed out of sight. A wall mount for the soundbar is also included.

The specifications are also excellent in terms of connectivity with HDMI eARC, Optical Aux-in and USB  playback, while the Philips EasyLINK system allows you to control your Philips TV and soundbar with one remote control. There is also wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio support for a stable connection with better sound quality and reduced delay (low latency). That’s great for music lovers.

The TAB6309 can be set up and personalized to your liking via the Philips Home Entertainment App (or with the included remote control) with four EQ modes (for example movies or a special football mode) plus a special Dialogue Enhancement mode for crystal clear voices.

The compact Philips TAB6309 will be available from June at various Dutch and Belgian retailers (recommended retail price just under 400 euros). As an introduction, the small soundbar is attractively priced (up to 50% discount on the soundbar) when purchased in combination with a new Philips Ambilight TV.
