Nubert is marking its 50th anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations, the company has introduced a new model to its relatively recent active series, nuZeo. The newest offering, named Nubert nuZeo 3, is designed for discerning listeners who seek exceptional sound quality from compact speaker enclosures.
Nubert nuZeo 3: Plenty of power in a small format
The new nuZeo 3 has a weight of just under 10 kilograms and features compact dimensions (WxHxD: 18 x 33 x 27 cm, excluding the stand). This two-way speaker system incorporates a high-performance bass-midrange driver made with a carbon fiber membrane, alongside a tweeter that utilizes a Tetoron fabric dome, as stated by Nubert. Each speaker is powered by amplifier modules that provide 320 watts of output. The frequency response is specified by the manufacturer to range from 44 to 22,000 Hertz (-3 dB).
Similar to its larger counterpart, the nuZeo 11, the compact nuZeo 3 can seamlessly fit into a wireless audio setup. It offers compatibility with various audio configurations through X-Connect and X-Connect-Surround, supported by multiple interfaces. Additionally, the X-Remote app facilitates easy control of the speaker.
Moreover, the X-Room Calibration feature allows for optimal adjustment of the bass response to suit the room’s acoustic characteristics. This calibration process occurs within the frequency range of 20 to 160 Hertz. Users with Apple devices can utilize the built-in microphone for this purpose, while Nubert provides an external calibration microphone for Android users.

The Nubert nuZeo 3 is now offered in black or white with a piano lacquer finish. The cost for a pair is $1,900, which includes sturdy truss feet. A compatible tripod can be requested for an extra fee of $400 per pair.
