KZ ZSN PRO X Hybrid IEMs: Dual-Driver Design, Metal Faceplate and Detachable Cable

KZ continues to expand its popular line of budget-friendly in-ear monitors with the introduction of the KZ ZSN PRO X, a hybrid model that combines a dynamic driver for the low end with a balanced armature unit dedicated to the higher frequencies. The new version brings subtle acoustic refinements, a revised magnetic structure, and a more premium exterior compared to earlier models in the series.

Hybrid configuration with revised dynamic driver

At the heart of the ZSN PRO X is a dual-driver hybrid system. The low and mid frequencies are handled by a 10 mm dynamic driver, while the treble is reproduced by a 30095 balanced armature unit.

KZ states that the dynamic driver features an updated magnetic gap design, allowing for greater diaphragm excursion. Metal and resin housing

The ZSN PRO X adopts a distinctive industrial look. The outer faceplate is made from zinc alloy, giving the earphones a more solid and premium feel, while the main body is formed from transparent resin. This see-through shell reveals the internal drivers and acoustic channels, a design choice that has become something of a visual trademark for the brand.

Like many KZ models, the ZSN PRO X uses a detachable cable system. The included cable is a double-braided oxygen-free copper design, terminated in a 0.75 mm two-pin connector. This standard connection makes it easy to replace or upgrade the cable, or to pair the earphones with optional Bluetooth adapters.

The detachable design also improves long-term durability, as users can simply swap out the cable if it becomes worn or damaged.
