FiiO is clearly not in a “play it safe” mood. With the JT7, the brand goes all in on big planar sound, bold engineering, and a design that’s built for long, immersive listening sessions. These are open-back, full-size headphones made for people who want space, air, and detail — and plenty of it.

At the heart of the JT7 is a massive 95 × 86 mm planar magnetic driver, powered by FiiO’s own proprietary tech. That’s paired with an ultra-thin 3-micron diaphragm — so light it reacts instantly to even the smallest signal changes. The result? Faster transients, better control, and a sound that feels alive rather than polite.

The foldable housing features four-axis rotating earcups, allowing for a customized fit.

FiiO didn’t stop at size. The diaphragm is supported by a flexible FES structure, while double-sided high-density neodymium magnets keep everything perfectly controlled. Add to that a precision conductor pattern manufactured using a 28 nm process (yes, the same kind of tech you’ll hear about in the semiconductor world), and you get a driver that’s not just powerful — but precise and durable.

Built for Comfort

Despite the serious hardware inside, the JT7 is designed to be worn — not admired from a shelf. The foldable construction uses four-axis rotating earcups, letting the headphones adapt naturally to different head shapes. Long sessions? No problem.

Both the ear pads and headband cushion are removable, which is great news for comfort tweaks and long-term ownership. The open-back design keeps things airy and natural, making the JT7 ideal for relaxed, critical listening at home.

The kit includes 3.5mm and 4.4mm oxygen-free copper cables, as well as a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter, making it convenient for connecting to different sources.

Connectivity is refreshingly flexible. Each earcup uses a dual 3.5 mm connector, and FiiO includes a proper set of quality cables in the box:

  • 3.5 mm oxygen-free copper cable

  • 4.4 mm balanced oxygen-free copper cable

  • 6.35 mm to 3.5 mm adapter

Whether you’re plugging into a portable player, desktop amp, or full-size hi-fi rig, you’re ready from day one — no extra shopping required.
