The Arcam Radia A15+ is a modern integrated amplifier that stays true to Arcam’s long-standing hi-fi philosophy: clean power, intelligent engineering, and a strong focus on musicality rather than gimmicks. It’s designed to sit at the heart of a serious stereo system while seamlessly fitting into today’s mixed digital-and-analog listening habits.

Wireless playback is handled via the latest Bluetooth 5.4 platform with aptX Adaptive support, allowing up to 24-bit high-resolution streaming from phones, tablets, and computers. The A15+ can also transmit audio to Bluetooth headphones, making it easy to keep listening long after the rest of the house has gone quiet.

The Arcam Radia A15+ amplifier offers a wide range of inputs. There are three RCA analog inputs, as well as an MM audio stage. Digital inputs include HDMI ARC, two coaxial, and one optical input.

On the wired side, the A15+ is unusually well equipped for its class. Three RCA line inputs sit alongside a dedicated MM phono stage for turntables, while digital connectivity includes HDMI ARC for TV audio, two coaxial inputs, and an optical input—ideal for CD players, streamers, or game consoles feeding the internal DAC. There’s also USB, Ethernet, a pre-out for system expansion, and a 12V trigger for integration into more advanced setups. Solid, gold-plated speaker terminals underline the amplifier’s no-nonsense build quality.

Vinyl support

Arcam has long had a reputation for taking vinyl seriously, and the A15+ continues that tradition. Its built-in moving-magnet phono stage is carefully matched to standard MM cartridges, delivering the correct gain and loading without unnecessary complexity. While moving-coil cartridges still require an external step-up or phono preamp, most popular turntables with MM cartridges can be connected directly and enjoyed at their best—quiet, dynamic, and tonally balanced.

Class AB

At its core, the A15+ uses a refined Class AB output stage. This approach combines the low-level finesse of Class A operation with the efficiency and power delivery of Class B when the music demands it. At moderate listening levels, the amplifier operates in its most linear region, while higher volumes trigger a smooth transition that delivers authority without harshness or strain. The result is a sound that’s controlled, punchy, and composed—equally comfortable with delicate acoustic recordings and more demanding, dynamic material.

What’s new in the “Plus” generation

The A15+ is part of Arcam’s updated A-series lineup, which also includes the A5+ and A25+. Compared to the previous generation, these models benefit from revised circuitry, upgraded components, and smarter power management. Bluetooth performance has been significantly improved, and both the A15+ and A25+ now include HDMI eARC for cleaner, more reliable TV integration.

Class AB is the best of both worlds, as it is a combination of both Class A and Class B, with the output stage operating in Class A at lower volumes. As the volume increases, the output gradually switches to Class B to deliver more power.

Inside the chassis, upgraded transformers help reduce unwanted internal currents, while improved power-supply design lowers impedance and improves noise performance. Arcam has also paid close attention to noise suppression by selectively powering down unused circuits—digital sections shut off when analog inputs are selected, and wireless modules remain dormant unless needed. These small details add up to a noticeably cleaner electrical environment and, ultimately, clearer sound.

In practice, the A15+ delivers a neutral, confident presentation with excellent control in the bass, a natural midrange, and a smooth, open top end. It doesn’t try to impress with artificial warmth or exaggerated detail—instead, it steps out of the way and lets your sources and speakers do the talking. With 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms, it has more than enough power to drive most real-world loudspeakers with ease.
