Anthem has launched the MRX SLM. a small space-saving AV receiver that is a fraction of the size of traditional AV receivers. The MRX SLM can be seamlessly integrated into any entertainment system and is primarily aimed at the custom-install market. The MRX SLM can be placed out of sight, according to the manufacturer, without sacrificing audio performance.The MRX SLM from Anthem is a small box that measures 4.3 x 27.9 x 27.9 centimeters (H x W x D) and weighs only three kilograms. According to the manufacturer, the MRX SLM can provide approximately 50 Watts per channel if two channels are controlled simultaneously. With HDMI (HDMI 2.0b eARC, HDCP 2.3) connectivity and support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the MRX SLM can be used for all kinds of purposes.The five-channel slimline receiver also offers various options for playing music. With Spotify Connect, AirPlay, Chromecast built-in and Bluetooth streaming, you can easily listen to music from a phone, tablet or laptop. There is also an analog jack input and an optical input.
Anthem has equipped the MRX SLM with its own software platform called ARC Genesis, which also works with all kinds of other products from Anthem and sister brand Paradigm. ARC Genesis offers a range of advanced features that transform the listening experience like never before. With support for both Mac and Windows and new target curve adjustment options for deep bass and high frequencies, the user’s system can easily be tailored to personal preferences.
The Anthem MRX SLM will be available from July 2024. The price has not yet been announced.
