Even though digital music streaming is all the rage these days, many still have huge CD collections that need a decent player. It is for such people that the Japanese company Yamaha introduced the 5-disc CD changer Yamaha CD-C603 .
In addition to the five-CD slide-out carousel, which allows you to change all five discs at once, the Yamaha CD-C603’s front panel includes a USB port that supports high-quality playback of music files stored on external storage devices in WAV, FLAC and WMA formats, and also standard MP3 and AAC. Also included is Yamaha’s Play X Change feature , which allows you to change a disc while another CD is still playing, eliminating the need to interrupt your listening experience to change discs.
The Yamaha CD-C603 5-disc changer also has a Pure Direct mode, which can be found in other Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. By pressing a button, you can turn off the display on the front panel and turn off the digital audio output, reducing possible electromagnetic interference to the analog path.

The switching arsenal of the Yamaha CD-C603 CD changer includes an unbalanced analog output on RCA connectors and an optical digital Toslink output. There are also IN/OUT minijack connectors for connecting to the proprietary control bus.
The Yamaha CD-C603 5-Disc CD Changer is on sale now.
