The Topping D90LE is a high-end DAC that features a smart and careful design that delivers high performance. It is equipped with ESS ES9038Pro conversion chip, XMOS interface and Altera Max II CPLD. The D90LE is also versatile, with full connectivity options and a built-in Bluetooth receiver.
The D90LE has a full range of connectivity options to adapt to any system. We can find AES, USB-B, optical, coaxial, I2S LVDS over HDMI, as well as Bluetooth 5.0. The D90LE offers single-ended RCA and balanced XLR outputs.
The D90LE offers a selectable output system. The audio stream can be routed to the XLR output, RCA output, or both outputs. Moreover, it also allows you to select the output level. Thus, the XLR output can operate with a voltage of 4 V or 5 V, and the RCA output can operate with a voltage of 2 V or 2.5 V.
In addition to the DAC mode with a fixed output level, the D90LE offers a DAC + preamplifier mode. In this mode you can control the volume level. Thus, the D90LE can be directly connected to a power amplifier or active speakers.
The D90LE performs independent I/V (current/voltage) conversion on the 8 channels of the ES9038Pro and then connects them in parallel. This technique allows for ever-increasing levels of productivity.
Equipped with Qualcomm CSR8675 chip, D90LE provides Bluetooth 5.0 signal reception, which is convenient for remote music streaming directly from your smartphone. In addition, this chip supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL and LDAC codecs, allowing you to achieve high-quality audio in wireless mode.
The D90LE’s USB input uses the second generation XMOS XU2013 16-core chip. This chip supports high sampling rates, up to 32-bit 768 kHz PCM and DSD512, as well as MQA. This chip is associated with a custom Thesycon driver.
Topping D90LE uses Altera Max II CPLD for clock signal processing and thus optimizes the quality of digital signals by significantly reducing jitter.
