SMSL ‘s SD-9 is an affordable and versatile network storage device. It supports really many file formats and has a full range of connectivity options. Wireless data transfer can be carried out via Bluetooth or WiFi (DLNA / AirPlay).
The SD-9 has an architecture based on an ARM SoC and a pair of CPLDs. The SoC handles data decoding and the CPLD handles audio timing control. The clock signal is generated by two oscillators (22.5792 MHz and 24.576 MHz) to significantly reduce jitter and provide highly accurate audio reproduction.
The SD-9 has wireless data transfer capabilities via Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. It also supports DLNA and Apple AirPlay protocols for optimal compatibility with your other devices.
The SMSL network player is equipped with a particularly comprehensive range of connectors to adapt to all needs and all audio systems. We can find a USB-B input (USB Audio), two USB-A connectors for connecting storage devices, a Micro SD card slot and an RJ45 Ethernet connector for connecting to a wired network. The SD-9 offers optical Toslink, AES/EBU, coaxial and I2S LVDS via HDMI as outputs.
SMSL SD-9 is capable of decoding and playing MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files. These files allow you to achieve sound quality that is as close as possible to the studio recording.
