The headphone and preamp output volumes are completely independent and cannot interfere with each other. Moreover, volume levels are stored in the M500 MKII’s memory.

SMSL M500 MKII

With this version of MKII, the M500 has a built-in Bluetooth 5.0 receiver, so you can now easily stream music remotely, such as from a smartphone or tablet. The M500 MKII supports aptX HD and LDAC transmission codecs, delivering superior wireless audio quality.

SMSL M500 MKII

The M500 MKII integrates the brand’s new CK-02 clock circuit. It significantly reduces jitter for clearer playback.

SMSL M500 MKII

The M500 MKII is housed in a stunning anodized aluminum alloy body, precision CNC machined. The front panel is equipped with a tempered glass window that allows excellent light emission from the beautiful 1.9-inch IPS display while effectively protecting it from scratches.

SMSL M500 MKII

The M500 MKII comes with a remote control (RC-8C). It allows you to remotely control all functions of the device.

SMSL M500 MKII

The M500 MKII is equipped with an ESS ES9038Pro digital-to-analog conversion chip. This excellent DAC is also coupled to the ES9311 chip and thus has an independent power supply, ensuring very low power noise. This combination allows the M500 MKII to deliver accurate and neutral sound.

SMSL M500 MKII

The M500 MKII’s USB input uses the second generation XMOS XU216 32-bit interface coupled with a custom driver allowing high-resolution streams up to 32-bit 768 kHz PCM, DSD512 and DoP256.

SMSL M500 MKII

The headphone amplifier stage uses a completely new PLFC circuit, allowing it to have a significant 2x2W power headroom under a 16Ω load, with distortion below -120dB. The gain of the headphone amplifier can be adjusted to suit all types of headphones. The design also provides separate protection circuitry for the left and right channels.
