The SMSL C100 is a compact and affordable DAC, but with the same attention paid to the brand’s more expensive models. Its components are truly specially selected for quality and efficiency, allowing the C100 to deliver accurate sound reproduction. Added to this is full connectivity and Bluetooth wireless connectivity for ultimate versatility.
Using the XMOS XU316 USB interface, the C100 can read high-resolution files for the most accurate audio reproduction. It supports audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512 via USB-B input.
In addition to supporting high-resolution PCM and DSD streams, the SMSL C100 is capable of decoding MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files. These files allow you to enjoy very high sound quality, as close as possible to the original signal received in the recording studio.
The SMSL digital-to-analog conversion stage is based on the use of the AKM AK4493S DAC chip. This model provides excellent performance, in particular the THD+N, here reaching 0.00013%, for restitution that is at the same time precise, rich and dynamic.
Like the vast majority of SMSL devices of this generation, the C100 uses the proprietary CK-03 clock circuitry, providing excellent clock synchronization for the lowest possible jitter. On the other hand, the power circuit has an effective filtering system to ensure clean and stable power for all audio circuits from a single USB-B port.
