Not all Hi-Res audio players are equal – that’s the message Onkyo wants to convey with the new NS-6130 network audio player, which combines the simplicity of digital audio with the atmosphere and soul of pure analog audio. The NS-6130 combines intuitive controls, traditional dual-mono design, and unique wideband filtering technology to unlock the full potential of 11.2 MHz DSD and 192 kHz/24-bit PCM Hi-Res audio formats.
The device is made in a metal case with an aluminum front panel in a classic Hi-Fi form factor and design, and will look great along with the rest of your AV equipment. The anti-resonance chassis protects electronic circuits from mechanical vibrations. On the front panel of the Onkyo NS-6130 there is a minimal set of controls and a simple display, since access to all modes of the device and music libraries is provided using a proprietary mobile application.
The Onkyo NS-6130 network player is based on the AK4452 chip with 32-bit / 192 kHz parameters and has a completely symmetrical stereo channel circuit. The device plays PCM files (up to 24 bit / 192 kHz), as well as DSD (up to 11.2 MHz). In addition to network devices (connection is made via Ethernet or Wi-Fi), two USB drives can be used as sources of files for listening on the Onkyo NS-6130, one of which is connected to the connector on the front panel, and the other on the rear panel. Available internet services include Spotify, Tidal, Deezer or TuneIn. The Onkyo NS-6130 also supports Google Cast technology for integration with other home multimedia devices.
To improve the accuracy of digital signal processing, the Onkyo NS-6130 uses patented VLC technology, which has dramatically reduced noise and distortion. The audio path of the network player uses selected components, and the built-in power supply is optimized to minimize noise levels. The Onkyo NS-6130 is an excellent solution for equipping high-end audio systems that do not have network functionality to expand their capabilities.
