Marantz M-CR412: Compact CD Receiver with 60 watts per channel

Marantz M-CR412 Melody
Marantz M-CR412 Melody

CD Receiver Marantz M-CR412 Melody is a similar version of the older model M-CR612 Melody X, but without network capabilities (the M-CR412 model lacks technologies such as: Airplay, HEOS, DLNA, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Internet radio and capabilities control from a smartphone; there is also no linear output in the M-CR412), while the power of the Marantz M-CR412 Melody CD receiver remains the same as in the older model 60 watts per channel. Marantz M-CR412 supports playback via USB of formats such as: WAV/FLAC/ AIFF (192kHz/24bit) /ALAC (96kHz/24bit), DSD 2.8/5.6MHz and Gapless playback (WAV/FLAC/ AIFF/ ALAC, DSD).

The Marantz M-CR412 CD receiver is made in a compact case with a minimalist front panel, the central place of which is occupied by a very informative and easy-to-read display. The controls for the main functions of the system are located on the front panel, which is quite convenient, especially in cases where the Marantz M-CR412 is placed on a low table or shelf. The Marantz Melody M-CR412 has a CD transport with a lower center of gravity, which ensures stable disc rotation and eliminates vibrations. On the rear panel of the CD receiver there is a USB socket to which you can connect portable drives with music files.

The device is equipped with an AM/FM tuner with a memory for 50 fixed settings, and its built-in amplifiers develop an output power of 60 W per channel with a load resistance of 4 Ohms. The amplifier part of the system uses DSP signal processing, which allows you to get the best sound quality when using speaker systems. The device is equipped with one linear and two optical inputs, as well as subwoofer and headphone outputs. To adjust the sound timbre, the Marantz M-CR412 has controls for low and high frequencies. In addition, a very useful setting in this model is the stereo balance adjustment.

With four channels of high-performance, low-distortion digital audio amplification, you can easily drive the Marantz M-CR412 with two pairs of speakers, with independent volume control for each. You can also connect one pair of speakers, but in audiophile bi-amping mode or in the unique PBTL bridged mode with double the output power. In addition, the Marantz M-CR412 is fully compatible with almost all speaker systems, even the most demanding ones, including 4-ohm models.

Connect your digital TV or cable/satellite box to any of the Marantz M-CR412’s two digital audio inputs to enjoy full, dynamic playback of your favorite movies and TV shows. The Marantz M-CR412 CD receiver can automatically “wake up” when it receives an audio signal from the TV, and can also be programmed to work with the TV remote control to adjust the volume, mute the sound and select the source. The system also includes Bluetooth for convenient connection of mobile devices.
