The full-size Leema Libra DAC is part of Constellation’s flagship line and is housed in a solid case, similar in design to those of the rest of the models in the series. It is compatible with the proprietary LIPS control and monitoring system, which automatically rearranges the components included in it into modes corresponding to which one is selected as the source. That is, it will look best, not to mention control, in a rack next to other components of the series. The heart of the component is the proprietary Quattro Infinity DAC unit, fully balanced, built according to a dual mono circuit. What is very important, it can be replaced with an even more advanced version, which will appear as soon as technology rises to new heights.

The company’s developers, who are also the founders of Leema, equipped the Leema Libra DAC with even two non-certified I2S interfaces, in this case implemented on an RJ45 connector, usually used for an Ethernet connection. One of them is fully configurable; They are suitable for stream formats: PCM up to 24 bit/384 kHz, DXD, DSD64 and DSD128.

All this suggests that this DAC can be useful not only for home, but also for more advanced and specialized systems. And for ordinary users there is an asynchronous USB port (up to 24 bit/384 kHz, DXD, DSD64 and DSD128). The company paid special attention to the sound quality from it.

Leema Libra can work either as a DAC with a fixed output level, or complement this role with a preamplifier function. There is a switch for these modes on the rear panel. There are also line inputs for three third-party components with RCA or XLR outputs. But that’s not all: Libra is capable of receiving an analog signal from a portable player, and it is also equipped with a high-quality headphone amplifier. The 3.5mm jacks for these connections are on the front panel. Finally, the user can stream music to this versatile unit from compatible devices via Bluetooth.
