During the High End Show 2024, set to commence on May 9 in Munich, Innuos is set to reveal its latest music servers/streamers, namely the ZEN NG and ZENith NG. These cutting-edge devices are built upon the advanced InnuOS Sense 3 platform. Innuos proudly asserts that the Sense 3 platform incorporates a tailor-made real-time operating system kernel, guaranteeing exceptionally low latency. Additionally, it incorporates AudioCore technology, which optimizes the execution of audio-related tasks, leading to discernible enhancements in sound quality.
The manufacturer asserts that the latest additions to the ZEN series are built upon the top-notch features found in the STATEMENT NG series models, while also introducing several new enhancements. This advancement marks a notable improvement in both performance and functionality, enhancing the already successful Mk3 generation.
The new ZEN NG and ZENith NG showcase innovations like the PrecisionAudio motherboard, NGaN control module, and the most recent iteration of the Sense 3 operating system. These advancements are the outcome of nearly three years of dedicated research and development, representing a significant leap forward in audio quality.
Furthermore, both the ZEN NG and ZENith NG models come with an innovative expandable storage management system (XSM) that can accommodate up to 16TB of onboard storage. They also offer the option to upgrade digital output modules like the PhoenixUSB Lite.
The ZEN NG features an aluminum housing constructed from 10mm thick panels that are CNC machined, sandblasted, and anodized in either silver or black. It boasts an enhanced RECAP2 power supply, a processor with 4 physical and 4 virtual cores, 16 GB of industrial grade DDR4 RAM, and a 3D TLC SSD for the Sense 3 operating system.
On the other hand, the ZENith NG provides superior performance with an ARC6 power supply, over 130,000uF Mundorf capacitors, and an 8-core AudioCore processor. It utilizes a pSLC SSD for the operating system, ensuring minimal noise and enhanced durability.
The Innuos ZEN NG streamer has a recommended retail price of 9,500 euros, while the Innuos ZENith NG model starts at 15,000 euros. Both server streamers are scheduled to be available for purchase in the third quarter of 2024. In line with Innuos’ commitment to upgradability, the new ZEN NG can be upgraded to the ZENith NG. Additionally, the Sense 3 operating system will be released as an update for all ZEN Mk3, PULSE, and STATEMENT series simultaneously.
