Meet the most versatile DAC on the market, which also includes a high-quality streamer, an all-analog line preamp, a high-quality headphone amplifier and Bluetooth 5.0 support – that’s how the announcement of the new Gold Note DS-10 began, sent out by the manufacturer.
According to the manufacturer, the new Gold Note DS-10 is designed to meet all the needs of the modern audiophile, offering virtually all types of Internet and digital communications, combined in a convenient, elegant form. The Gold Note DS-10 is an innovative digital-to-analog converter based on the renowned top model DS-1000, combining the advanced capabilities of the IS-1000 all-in-one device. The Gold Note DS-10 has a unique feature that sets it apart from any other DAC. A choice of three different profiles allows the listener to change the character of the DAC’s sound, making the DS-10 the most versatile device on the market.
For the first time, all possible tuning functions that are part of the basic operation of any D/A converter are available to the end user, including the low-pass filter and high-pass attenuation. The user can adjust these parameters using the open menu on the display and the rotary switch knob or using the remote control, changing and saving the 3 presets as desired. Adjustments to the DAC’s electrical characteristics can be made in real time to match the music being played, allowing the DS-10 to be perfectly matched to any stereo system.
The Gold Note DS-10 can be connected to traditional CD players, TVs or media servers, and is also compatible with almost all Internet services, including Roon, Tidal, Qobuz, Airplay, Spotify, Deezer, V-Tuner, from which it can play DSD, PCM & MQA. You can connect your devices via Wi-Fi/LAN as well as the latest generation of Bluetooth 5.0. Thanks to its versatile design, the Gold Note DS-10 converts digital to analog via coaxial S/PDIF, optical Toslink and AES-EBU inputs with 24-bit/192kHz PCM options. The USB-B input accepts native DSD and DoP-converted DSD64/128, as well as PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz. The device is also capable of playing files directly from the hard drive and USB drives (FAT32/NTFS) via the USB-A input.
Gold Note DS-10 has a high quality analog preamp. It also features a professional 6.3mm headphone output with proprietary technology that allows you to select two sensitivity levels to drive virtually any headphone. The beautiful 2.8-inch TFT display displays device information, and the app allows you to fully control the device’s functions. In addition, the device is also equipped with a remote control.
The Gold Note DS-10 features a stunning body crafted from solid machined steel and thick aluminum panels to ensure minimal resonance, vibration control and low magnetic field inertia.
