Sony has announced good news for music lovers and audiophiles looking for an affordable alternative to the Sony WH-1000XM wireless headphones. The company presented two new models of headphones – WH-CH720N and WH-CH520.
Sony WH-CH720N
Full-size wireless headphones that feature Sony’s Integrated Processor V1 chip, which is the latest in technology for improved noise cancellation and sound processing. Full-ear headphones isolate the listener from most external noise, making them ideal for public listening. These headphones can work up to 35 hours on a full charge.
Equipped with two microphones in each cup with Dual Noise Sensor technology, similar to the WH-1000XM5, the WH-CH720N collects ambient noise and blocks it out. The microphones also feature Precise Voice Pickup technology and new wind noise reduction technology for voice clarity during phone calls.
Sony WH-CH520
On-ear headphones that, due to their design, cannot provide a phenomenal level of noise reduction. However, even in noisy environments, Sony promises that the WH-CH520 collects and blocks out ambient noise during phone calls to improve voice clarity. These headphones can last up to 50 hours and have an adjustable headband, making them good for everyday use.
The WH-CH720N and WH-CH520 feature the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine, a technology developed by Sony to improve the sound quality of audio files, which will be especially relevant when used with streaming platforms.
