Vincent Audio has revised its SA-32 hybrid tube preamplifier, adding Bluetooth for direct wireless streaming from phones, tablets and computers. Renamed the SA-32MK, the updated model retains the established Class A transistor circuitry and four-tube architecture of its predecessor while leaving the rest of its digital connectivity deliberately simple.
An established hybrid circuit remains at the core
The SA-32MK continues to use the same fundamental hybrid design as the original SA-32. Its audio circuit combines Class A transistor stages with four 6N16 tubes, allowing Vincent to modernize the preamplifier without replacing the underlying topology.
That continuity makes Bluetooth the central change rather than part of a broader internal redesign. The specified frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz within 0.5 dB, extending from 20 Hz to 50 kHz within 2 dB. Vincent lists a nominal output voltage of 2 V, input sensitivity of 500 mV and an input impedance of 47 kilohms.
Total harmonic distortion is specified at less than 0.1 percent at 1 kHz and 1 watt, while the signal-to-noise ratio is greater than 90 dB. Maximum power consumption is rated at 40 watts. These figures reinforce the SA-32MK’s role as a dedicated stereo preamplifier rather than an all-in-one amplifier or network component.
Bluetooth provides the digital entry point
The newly integrated Bluetooth module enables music to be streamed wirelessly from compatible smartphones, tablets and laptop computers. A dedicated antenna on the rear panel is intended to support reliable reception when the preamplifier is installed as part of a larger hi-fi system.
Bluetooth is the SA-32MK’s only digital source connection. Vincent has not added wired digital inputs or the broader digital facilities found on the SA-32 AE anniversary model. No Bluetooth codec details are specified, so the update is best understood as a straightforward way to add mobile-device playback to an otherwise analog-focused preamplifier.
This focused approach allows owners to retain separate source components while gaining a convenient wireless option. Traditional analog equipment can remain connected permanently, with Bluetooth available when faster, cable-free access from a personal device is preferred.
Analog connectivity supports flexible systems
Despite its relatively low-profile enclosure, the SA-32MK offers a substantial selection of analog inputs and outputs. Source connections comprise four stereo RCA inputs and one balanced stereo XLR input, providing room for multiple line-level components.
On the output side, the preamplifier has two stereo RCA pre-outs and one balanced stereo XLR pre-out. The multiple variable outputs allow the SA-32MK to be used in bi-amped systems or with other configurations requiring more than one power-amplifier feed. A fixed-level stereo RCA record output is also included for an external recorder or another compatible line-level device.
The mixture of single-ended and balanced connections gives users flexibility when pairing the SA-32MK with different source components and power amplifiers. It also preserves the connectivity emphasis of the original model rather than shifting the product toward an integrated streaming-platform design.
Compact dimensions and two finish choices
The Vincent SA-32MK measures 430 mm wide, 77 mm high and 360 mm deep, with a weight of 6.2 kg. Its comparatively slim height should make it easier to accommodate alongside full-width source equipment and power amplification, although suitable ventilation remains important for tube-based electronics.
Vincent offers the preamplifier in black or silver. The rear panel accommodates the Bluetooth antenna alongside the full set of RCA and XLR connections, keeping the front-panel presentation aligned with the model’s role as a conventional stereo control component.
The revision positions the SA-32MK between purely analog preamplifiers and more extensively equipped digital designs. It preserves a familiar hybrid signal path and broad line-level connectivity while adding the wireless source option most relevant to everyday playback from portable devices.
With the SA-32MK, Vincent has made a targeted update rather than redesigning its hybrid preamplifier. Bluetooth expands source access, while the four 6N16 tubes, Class A transistor circuitry and comprehensive analog connection set remain central to the product.
