PS Audio has released an updated version of its well-regarded Stellar Strata integrated amplifier, now designated as the MK 2. This new model features a phono preamplifier compatible with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges, an enhanced high-resolution DAC, a class A analog preamplifier, and a dedicated headphone amplifier.

Vinyl record enthusiasts can now experience high-quality playback with the newly integrated MM/MC phono preamplifier in the PS Audio Stellar Strata MK 2. This innovative product features a versatile switching system that includes two stereo pairs of phono inputs—MM and MC—alongside two line inputs, which are available in both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR configurations. The preamplifier within the Strata MK2 is designed with a fully balanced circuit architecture.
The PS Audio Stellar Strata MK2 integrated amplifier features a built-in DAC capable of decoding PCM digital streams at resolutions up to 32 bits / 384 kHz and DSD formats up to DSD256. This latest model includes one optical input, two coaxial digital inputs, an asynchronous USB-B input, and two I2S inputs via HDMI connectors. Additionally, it is equipped with a class A headphone amplifier.
The PS Audio Stellar Strata MK2 integrated amplifier embodies a fully balanced design. It incorporates a Class A preamplifier that utilizes PS Audio’s proprietary GainCell analog volume control circuit. The Class D hybrid output stage provides 150 watts of power per channel at a 4 ohm nominal load and 100 watts at 8 ohms.
The PS Audio Stellar Strata MK 2 integrated amplifier comes in both silver and black finishes, with a recommended retail price of $3,499.
