The Gato Audio DPA-4004 four-channel amplifier is a flexible solution that offers many options for combining the number of channels and output power. A special feature of the amplifier is the use of modern technology for constructing Class-D output stages, which, in combination with bridge connection of channels, makes it possible to obtain high output power in such a compact and elegant package.

The Gato Audio DPA-4004 power amplifier produces at least 4x400W at 8 ohms, and at 4 ohms the channel power doubles. Each pair of channels in the amplifier can be bridged, allowing individual power configuration for multi-channel systems or bi-amping speakers. The most obvious candidate for pairing with the DPA-4004 is the PRD-3 preamp/DAC, but the new models can also accompany the DIA-250/400 integrated amplifiers, offering more channels and channel power flexibility. In multi-channel systems, the Gato Audio DPA-4004 can be used to amplify surround processor signals, possibly in combination with a PRD-3 or DIA-250/400 in Home Theater mode.

Gato Audio DPA-4004 has a technically advanced solution in the form of Class D output stages with a separate power supply. The amplification part is built using proven International Rectifier technology, with an optimized precision high-frequency generator and PWM modulator. Fast and precise switching MOS-FET transistors with very low on-resistance ensure excellent high frequency operation with the lowest possible losses. Output filters with high-quality polypropylene capacitors and low resistance coils convert powerful PWM signals back into detailed and smooth analogue sound.
