Fezz Audio has presented its first mono tube power amplifier and it is called Olympia. Four tubes of the type KT88 give an output power of 150 Watts. Like all amplifiers from Fezz Audio, the buyer can choose from a lot of colors.
Fezz Audio Olympia: power amplifier with tube circuit
Power amplifier Olympia is the first mono model of Fezz Audio and it is fully balanced. The manufacturer has equipped the Olympia with a specially designed unique microprocessor bias control system, which makes it possible to achieve more than 150 Watts per channel with four tubes of the well-known type KT88 that are arranged in a parallel push-pull configuration. This not only simplifies the operation, but also improves the reliability and consistency, according to Fezz Audio.
“The Olympia delivers power and clarity, ensuring that every note and nuance is reproduced with astonishing fidelity. Whether you’re looking for breathtaking dynamics, lush tonality or simply an engaging listening experience, the Olympia mono power amplifier delivers on all levels with its exceptional sound quality and performance,” the designers explain on the Fezz Audio website .
Apart from four KT88 tubes, two driver tubes are fitted, namely 1 x 12AX7 and 1 x 12AU7. Fezz Audio specifies a frequency range of 16 Hz to 80 kHz. The music signal comes in via a cinch or XLR input. The Olympia weighs 17 kilograms. For stereo sound, two are of course required. The dimensions are 355 x 380 x 195 millimetres. A protective cage to place over the tubes is optional.
