With the S17 Pro , Aune introduces a powerful headphone amplifier that can also be used as a preamp in a Hi-Fi installation. This headphone amplifier has discrete components and balanced outputs. Its Class A amplifier stage features a pair of JFETs for the headphone outputs, as well as two op-amps per output, for a total of 16 op-amps.
It also features an R2R volume control and an attractive color display on the front panel. Inputs include stereo RCA and balanced stereo XLR. The powerful S17 Pro amplifier is capable of driving any type of headphones on the market, with impedance ranging from 32 to 600 ohms.
The amplifier stage of the Aune S17 Pro is made of TWIN JFET transistors, ideal for amplifying headphones. In addition, each output channel uses 2 pairs of transistors, for a total of 16 transistors. This Class A headphone amplifier also has two levels of current control: 50mA and 100mA per JFET. Overall, the Aune S17 Pro’s sound is warm and detailed, with distortion levels reaching very low levels.
The S17 Pro can handle headphones with impedances ranging from 32 to 600 ohms. The output power can reach 7.5 W, which allows you to use the most demanding headphones.
The beautiful display on the front of the Aune S17 Pro shows information about current, temperature, output type and volume level.
Aune 17 Pro integrates JRC’s R2R volume control chip to achieve high precision and wide soundstage.
