DENAFRIPS ARES II: Stationary DAC with R2R architecture

DENAFRIPS ARES II
DENAFRIPS ARES II

DENAFRIPS ARES II is the second version of the stationary DAC with R2R architecture.

The Ares DAC is a 24Bit/1536KHz, DSD1024 discrete resistor ladder digital-to-analog converter, also known as the R-2R DAC.
The architecture uses the most primitive R-2R DAC technology, it is probably the most suitable architecture for music playback. Although the test results of various measurements and parameters of conventional R-2R DACs are generally not as good as mainstream integrated DAC chips, but the sound of R-2R DACs is often filled with emotion, comfort, high fidelity, transparency and extra musicality that most conventional mainstream integrated DAC chips cannot match.

DENAFRIPS ARES II

HIGH-END DAC SYMBOL
To achieve decent sound, the R-2R DAC requires the use of ultra-precise resistors. High precision resistors are expensive, each resistor must be strictly measured and matched by machine with human intervention for cross-checking. This results in a very high manufacturing process cost, so the R-2R DAC is also a symbol of a high-end DAC.

SMALL IN SIZE BIG IN SOUND
Ares uses a true balanced R-2R DAC design. Each channel is decoded by 4 sets of R-2R networks. This design has very small linear error, high decoding speed, low digital noise, which not only guarantees low audio signal distortion, but also ensures very low background music noise; allows the listener to enjoy real music against a dark background.

DENAFRIPS ARES II

Support DSD decoding up to DSD1024 and PCM decoding up to PCM1536. With a choice of NOS or OS filters, Slow or Sharp, the Ares II upgrade simply takes an already amazing DAC several notches better!
