Lenco has announced the Orbita-360, a portable wireless speaker built around a distinctive kettlebell-inspired shape. Its 2.1-channel system is designed to distribute sound in every direction, while Auracast support, an aluminum carrying handle and IPX6 water resistance extend its usefulness beyond a single room.
A multidirectional 2.1-channel speaker system
The Orbita-360 uses a 4-inch subwoofer, four 1.7-inch full-range drivers and two passive radiators. Lenco specifies an RMS output of 60 watts and a maximum output of 120 watts, with the internal arrangement intended to deliver 360-degree coverage rather than directing sound toward one listening position.
That multidirectional approach allows the speaker to be placed centrally in a room or outdoor area when more even coverage is preferred. Lenco positions the system for music, podcasts and other audio content in spaces ranging from living rooms and kitchens to patios and gardens.
The dedicated subwoofer and passive radiators handle the low-frequency portion of the system, while the four full-range drivers distribute the remaining audio around the enclosure. Together, these elements form the Orbita-360’s 2.1-channel configuration.
Auracast expands wireless coverage
Built-in Auracast support allows the Orbita-360 to share audio with multiple compatible speakers. The technology is not restricted to Lenco products, so supported Auracast models from other manufacturers can also take part in a linked setup.
This makes it possible to play the same program through several compatible wireless speakers at once. The feature is intended for situations requiring a wider listening area, including parties, events and larger indoor or outdoor spaces, without installing a conventional wired audio system.
Standard Bluetooth connectivity is also provided for streaming from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers. Users therefore have the option of operating a single Orbita-360 as a conventional portable Bluetooth speaker or incorporating it into a broader Auracast arrangement.
Portable form with lighting and IPX6 protection
The Orbita-360’s rounded body and integrated aluminum handle create its kettlebell-like appearance. The handle also serves a practical purpose, providing a dedicated grip for carrying the speaker between rooms or taking it into outdoor settings.
An integrated lighting system offers four colors. Each can operate as a continuous light or as a beat-synchronized effect that responds to music. The lighting can also be disabled, resulting in nine selectable settings in total. A memory function recalls the most recently selected color and effect when the speaker is switched on again.
Lenco gives the enclosure an IPX6 water-resistance rating, indicating protection against powerful water jets. That makes the speaker suitable for locations where it may encounter splashes or rain, such as a patio or poolside area. The rating does not mean the Orbita-360 can be submerged in water.
Battery life and USB-C digital audio
A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 13 hours of playback. Actual operating time can vary with volume, the type of content being played, wireless conditions and use of the integrated lighting.
The USB Type-C connection serves two functions: charging the internal battery and accepting digital audio from a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer. This gives listeners a wired digital alternative when they do not want to rely on Bluetooth streaming.
Lenco has not yet confirmed when deliveries of the Orbita-360 will begin. No USD price has been announced.
With its unusual carrying-handle design, 360-degree driver layout and cross-brand Auracast compatibility, the Orbita-360 joins Lenco’s range as a flexible speaker for both indoor and outdoor use. Release timing remains to be confirmed.
