Cambridge Audio’s Alva ST turntable follows the Alva TT, the world’s first aptX HD Bluetooth turntable from 2019. The new product is more affordable than the Alva, perhaps because it is equipped with a belt drive rather than a direct drive.
This is complemented by a 1mm thick aluminum top plate and a vibration-absorbing layer on top of the MDF. The Audio Technica AT-VM95e removable moving magnet cartridge comes pre-installed.
The ST player now features aptX HD Bluetooth TT V2 streaming capabilities, allowing audio to be streamed wirelessly from vinyl to wireless headphones or speakers in some of the highest Bluetooth quality available. Naturally, if your receiving device also supports aptX HD. The Alva ST also features the same tonearm as the Alva TT and a switchable phono stage.
Features:
- Bluetooth aptX HD – Switchable Hi-Res wireless streaming. Place the turntable on a flat-surface that suits you.
- Built-In Phono Stage – Switchable phono pre-amp, direct connection to amp – keep your setup simple.
- Belt Drive – With simple electronic push button speed control.
- Pre-installed Moving Magnet Cartridge – A well-regarded choice, play records in minutes.
- New Tonearm with Removable Headshell – Lightweight and strong. Tracks your records flawlessly.
