Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN: A classic vinyl player at a reasonable price

Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN
Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN

Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN is a classic vinyl player with a belt drive and fully manual control. The model has all the advantages of Hi-Fi players and at the same time is offered at a very reasonable price. The Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN chassis is made of MDF, has significant mass and is resistant to vibrations and resonances. Thanks to this, the player produces clear and uncolored sound, even if there are speakers nearby that are playing at high volumes. The external finishing of the chassis is made of natural wood veneer, which gives the appearance of the Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN sophistication and chic.

The Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN features a cast aluminum platter that is precisely balanced to ensure smooth rotation. The rubber mat provides the necessary damping of the record. The player is equipped with a low-noise motor powered by a stabilizer with touch-sensitive rotation speed sensors. Thanks to this, the rotation of the disc at a frequency of 33.3 or 45 revolutions per minute is maintained with great precision. Switching between speeds is done by simply moving the belt from one groove of the engine pulley to another.

The player is equipped with a straight, high-quality tonearm made of carbon fiber. The tonearm has a universal proprietary shell AT-HS4, on which the AT-VM95E pickup is installed and fully adjusted. This MM cartridge has a dual magnet system, thanks to which it has high efficiency and extended dynamic range. The elliptical sharpening of the pickup stylus provides precise tracking and highly detailed sound. The presence of adjustable dynamic anti-skating and other adjustments on the tonearm will allow you to install pickups of various brands on the player.

Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN is equipped with a built-in phono stage, so the player can be connected directly to any line inputs of integrated amplifiers or AV receivers. However, if desired, the signal from the Audio-Technica AT-LPW40WN cartridge can be removed directly to feed it to an external phono stage.
