WiiM has announced that Roon Labs has officially certified the WiiM Amp Pro as Roon Ready, enhancing the functionality of this integrated amplifier that features a built-in streamer. With Roon Ready integration, the WiiM Amp Pro can now function as a network player utilizing Roon’s streaming technology. A certified WiiM Amp Pro will automatically detect other Roon Ready devices on the same network, seamlessly integrating into the Roon multi-room ecosystem without any configuration required.
Emphasizing the “just add speakers” philosophy, the WiiM Amp Pro merges a sophisticated network player, a high-quality DAC, dependable wired and wireless connectivity, and effective amplification. This adaptable component is designed for compatibility with traditional passive speaker systems, televisions, and even vinyl record players.

The WiiM Amp Pro network integrated amplifier represents an enhanced iteration of the original WiiM Amp model. It features an upgraded amplifier stage utilizing Texas Instruments TPA3255 components operating in class D. Additionally, it incorporates advanced wireless connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, supported by dual antennas. The device is also equipped with a new ES9038 Q2M ESS Sabre DAC chip, which facilitates the decoding of digital audio in PCM format with specifications reaching up to 32 bit / 384 kHz. Furthermore, the amplifier includes a sound calibration system designed to account for the acoustic characteristics of the room, enabling precise measurements and the creation of tailored correction profiles. It delivers 60 watts per channel for speakers with an 8-ohm nominal impedance and 120 watts per channel for a 4-ohm load.
The WiiM Amp Pro, a network integrated amplifier equipped with Roon Ready capabilities, is priced at $379. Current users of the WiiM Amp Pro have been notified of an over-the-air update that activates Roon Ready functionality on their devices.
