The Pitt & Giblin Flare monitors utilize a substantial cast bronze circular waveguide that extends beyond the cabinet, delivering the tonal coherence and listening experience typically associated with larger Pitt & Giblin loudspeakers, but in a more compact design. Equipped with a professional 8-inch midrange/bass driver and tweeter, these monitors are powered by discrete Class D amplifiers that generate a total of 250 watts, complemented by a DSP-based digital crossover. The Flare monitors can be conveniently placed on any shelf or specialized stands. In contrast to asymmetrical models, the round waveguide of the Flare offers greater installation flexibility.
The implementation of digital signal processing through DSP provides extensive opportunities for acoustic design that cannot be achieved with passive systems. This method enables a comprehensive consideration of waveguide, cabinet, and driver design, allowing for the optimization of acoustic performance and achieving remarkably low distortion across all output signal levels.
The dimensions of the Pitt & Giblin Flare monitor cabinet are 440mm in height, 295mm in width, and 290mm in depth. In its standard orientation, the 330mm diameter waveguide adds an additional 110mm vertically, resulting in a total height of 550mm. Each speaker has a weight of 20kg.
