The Monitor Audio Bronze 300 7G is the flagship model of the Bronze series. It’s a powerful, high-quality floorstanding speaker system that delivers a spacious, detailed soundstage with rich, powerful bass. Its new, sleek, and modern design not only exudes style but also delivers excellent acoustic performance.

Featuring a 1-inch C-CAM gold-dome tweeter with a UD waveguide, a 6-inch C-CAM midrange driver, and a separate 6-inch C-CAM woofer, this speaker system delivers high-resolution sound that is expressive, dynamic, and detailed. A new crossover design and a bass reflex port with HiVe II technology ensure seamless integration and a fast, controlled low-frequency response. The premium matte vinyl exterior is available in black, white, and walnut.

The British company Monitor Audio’s “Bronze” series debuted in 1999, becoming the manufacturer’s first budget line. A couple of years later, the B-series models took over. Beginning in 2006, the new generation was designated with the letter R. In 2010, the X series took over. Interestingly, in 2015, the series was simply renamed “Bronze”… But in the spring of 2020, the Bronze 6G debuted! And now it’s the 7G’s turn.

The speakers in the new series feature new surrounds, spiders, voice coils, and magnet systems that are nearly 15% larger in diameter. This improves bass depth and speed, as well as sensitivity and power handling. Distortion has also been reduced. The speaker cones utilize Monitor Audio C-CAM technology, which has been around for over 30 years. The aluminum-magnesium alloy cone is coated with a ceramic layer several tens of microns thick. This makes it both rigid and inert, making it ideal for sound reproduction.

The woofers feature second-generation HiVe (High Velocity) bass reflex ports on the rear panel. They are made of thermoplastic polymer. The pipes are equipped with longitudinal grooves to eliminate turbulence and accelerate airflow. The gold-colored tweeter is also manufactured using C-CAM technology. It also features a new waveguide, which lowers the crossover frequency, thereby expanding the directivity of the sound. Furthermore, the output at high sound pressure levels has increased. The grille features the recognizable hexagonal pattern, a feature of Monitor Audio models for several years now.

The crossovers have also been redesigned to accommodate the new drivers. Using carefully selected capacitors and transistors, the Bronze 7G speakers deliver detailed and accurate sound across all audible frequencies. The front panels of the enclosures are now made of plywood. The drivers are no longer traditionally mounted to them, but are literally bolted through the rear panel with long bolts. This “through-bolt” mounting significantly increases the rigidity of the entire structure.
