ELAC Debut Reference DBR62

The ELAC Debut Reference DBR62 bookshelf speakers are part of the newly updated Debut Reference series, featuring several significant enhancements in their design. The system includes a sizable 6.5-inch low-frequency driver constructed from reinforced fiber. This woofer is supported by a robust magnetic system and is housed in a newly designed basket that effectively minimizes both the driver’s own resonances and vibrations across the entire front panel. As a result, the low-frequency driver delivers enhanced sound output, allowing the speakers to produce deep and immersive bass for both music and movie audio.

The tweeter in the ELAC Debut Reference series of speakers is placed in a new sound guide, which aligns its directional diaphragm and increases its efficiency. The sound guide has a new integrated metal protective grille, which has increased acoustic transparency. The tweeter is equipped with a soft fabric dome with a diameter of 1 inch and operates in an extended frequency range. The speakers use an original phase inverter “Dual Flared Slot Port” in the form of a narrow slit at the very bottom of the front panel. This port design helps to reduce the noise level of turbulent flow.

The speakers are constructed using high-quality MDF enclosures that feature reinforced internal bracing, effectively eliminating any unwanted wall vibrations. The ELAC Debut Reference DBR62 utilizes a two-way design and incorporates proprietary drivers linked to a meticulously designed crossover filter. The front of the speaker is protected by a fabric grille that attaches magnetically. Additionally, the acoustic system includes screw terminals for amplifier connections, ensuring a secure and long-lasting link. The ELAC Debut Reference DBR62 is noted for its versatility, making it compatible with a range of integrated amplifiers and AV receivers.
