Xavian is doubling down on its love for real wood, classic proportions, and musical honesty with the Grande Unica—a floorstanding loudspeaker that takes everything people liked about the compact Unica and stretches it into something bigger, bolder, and more room-filling.
The Grande Unica is essentially the grown-up version of the Unica. Same philosophy, same craftsmanship, but with more cabinet volume, more authority, and a more confident presentation. Xavian blends lessons learned from the original Unica, the elegant Madre Perla, and other models from the Natura series into a speaker that looks timeless and sounds effortlessly musical.
And yes—this is still very much handmade hi-fi.

Solid oak, done the hard way
The cabinet is built entirely from 23 mm thick solid oak, handcrafted in Xavian’s own workshops in Hostivice. No shortcuts, no veneers pretending to be something they’re not. A matte lacquer combined with natural wax lets the wood grain shine through, making every pair slightly different and unmistakably organic.

Rounded edges, softly curved corners, and a beautifully sculpted bass reflex port give the Grande Unica a flowing, furniture-like presence. This is the kind of speaker that doesn’t need to be hidden—it earns its place in the room.
Two-way design, triple-driver confidence
Despite being a two-way floorstander, the Grande Unica uses three drivers, tuned to deliver a full, balanced sound without complexity or fuss. With a sensitivity of 93 dB (2.83 V / 1 m), these speakers are easy to drive and come alive even with modest amplification.
According to Xavian, the Grande Unica offers a sound that’s richer, more detailed, and more majestic than the smaller Unica. Bass digs deeper, dynamics feel more relaxed, and the overall presentation has a sense of scale that suits real music at real listening levels.
Frequency response: 48 Hz – 20 kHz (-3 dB)
Crossover frequency: 2.87 kHz
One of the Grande Unica’s strengths is how uncomplicated it is. These speakers are designed for normal living rooms, not acoustically treated temples. They perform best placed about 4–8 inches from the rear wall, without demanding endless tweaking or precise positioning.

With dimensions of 35.4 × 7.9 × 11 inches (H × W × D) and a weight of 38.5 lbs per speaker, they strike a nice balance between presence and practicality—large enough to sound authoritative, slim enough to fit naturally into most spaces.
Handmade means patience
Because every pair is built by hand, the Grande Unica isn’t something that ships overnight. Xavian estimates a delivery time of around one month after order confirmation—a small price to pay for craftsmanship that clearly favors quality over speed.

Price and positioning
The Xavian Grande Unica is priced at $2,200 per pair, placing it squarely in the premium but attainable floorstander category. For listeners who value natural materials, traditional craftsmanship, and a warm, expressive sound over flashy tech or exaggerated specs, the Grande Unica feels refreshingly honest.
