PliXiR Elite BAC2000 MkII: True Balanced 2000W Power Conditioner for High-End Audio Systems

Singapore-based PliXiR Power has launched the Elite BAC2000 MK II, an extension of the Elite MkII series. Positioned between the BAC1500 MK II and the BAC3000 MK II, the newly developed True Balanced AC power conditioner is intended for mid-range to full-fledged high-end audio systems that require more power reserves and stability than the BAC1500 offers, but where the size and weight of the BAC3000 are less practical.

With a maximum power output of 2000 watts and a weight of 34 kilograms, the Elite BAC2000 MK II offers, according to the manufacturer, a well-considered balance between capacity, mechanical stability, and usability. In short: the qualities of the BAC3000 MK II, but in a more compact and lightweight chassis.

Like all Elite MK II models, the BAC2000 MK II utilizes PliXiR's True Balanced Power architecture, built around a fully symmetrical transformer manufactured by Noratel to PliXiR specifications. A key design principle is very low output impedance. This ensures that connected components are supplied with power directly and unhindered, even under fast and dynamic loads. The result is a stable power supply base without compression, while maintaining speed, control, and natural timbres.

Thanks to the True Balanced transformer design, the power delivered is stable and free from DC-related distortions, without the need for additional corrections or extensive filtering. This ensures uninterrupted power delivery and maintains musical coherence, even in complex or highly dynamic systems.

The transformer is at the heart of a carefully balanced design, complemented by PliXiR OFC internal wiring, fully CNC-machined aluminum front and rear panels, Bfly Audio Pure Series vibration mounts, and a dedicated ground connection. Each component contributes to lowering the noise floor and improving transparency, timing, and control.

All PliXiR Power products are hand-built in Singapore and personally tuned by founder and designer James Soh, with a strong focus on consistency, reliability and musical performance.
