FiiO has added a new full-size wired model to its Snowsky line with the NATURE, a closed-back headphone designed for use with desktop sources, portable players, DACs and headphone amplifiers. The model combines 50mm dynamic drivers, detachable cabling and a relatively easy-to-drive electrical specification in a design aimed at everyday listening as well as more dedicated hi-fi setups.
Closed-back headphones with 50mm dynamic drivers
The Snowsky NATURE is a circumaural, closed-back dynamic headphone. At its core is a 50mm driver using a composite diaphragm that combines PET and TPU materials with the addition of technical carbon. According to the supplied specification, the diaphragm structure includes a 19-micron PET frame and a 30-micron TPU layer, pairing a rigid central structure with a more elastic surround.
The driver assembly also uses a high-efficiency magnetic system and a copper voice coil with increased tension. FiiO lists a frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz, along with Hi-Res Audio certification. Impedance is rated at 24 ohms at 1kHz, while sensitivity is specified at 101dB/mW at 1kHz, or 117dB/V at 1kHz. Those figures position the headphone for use without requiring a particularly powerful amplifier, while still allowing pairing with dedicated DAC/amp hardware.

Tuning focused on balanced response
The tuning process for the Snowsky NATURE included adjustments to both the driver parameters and the internal acoustic chamber. FiiO describes an eight-stage process for matching driver parameters, along with fifteen internal-structure optimization variants during development.
The company also gathered listening feedback from nearly one thousand participants before finalizing the voicing. The stated goal is an even presentation rather than a response that heavily emphasizes one part of the frequency range. As this is a closed-back design, the acoustic enclosure also plays a central role in shaping the headphone’s behavior and isolation characteristics.

Dual-entry detachable cable system
The headphones use a dual-entry cable arrangement, with a 3.5mm TRS connector located at the lower section of each earcup. This layout allows the supplied cable to be removed and replaced, and it also opens the door to compatible balanced cables where required by the source device.
The included cable is made from oxygen-free copper and is approximately 1.5 meters long. It terminates in a standard 3.5mm plug and includes an in-line microphone plus a single-button remote. The button can be used for playback and pause, track navigation and call handling, though specific command support will depend on the connected smartphone, player or other source. For balanced operation, FiiO lists the LL-4.4A 4.4mm cable as a separately available option.
Wood-inspired finishes without solid wood construction
The outer earcup panels use decorative wood-grain styling, but the finish is not solid wood. Instead, the pattern is applied using hydrographic printing. Two visual versions are listed: Golden Sandalwood Black, a darker finish with gold-toned grain lines, and Spruce Apricot, a lighter version with a spruce-inspired pattern.

The closed-back cups are mounted on aluminum-alloy yokes, and the structure is designed to adapt to the wearer’s head position. The headband uses telescopic adjustment and includes a soft inner pad. Weight is specified at approximately 280 grams without the cable.
Comfort and maintenance details
The ear pads are filled with soft elastic foam and finished with a leather-like covering. FiiO has also used a quick-release rotating attachment mechanism for the pads, allowing them to be removed for cleaning or replacement without disassembling the earcups or using tools.
That service-friendly pad design is a practical detail for a headphone intended to move between stationary and portable listening setups. Combined with the detachable cable, it gives the Snowsky NATURE a modular approach that should make routine wear items easier to manage over time.

The FiiO Snowsky NATURE arrives as a closed-back, full-size wired headphone with a modern detachable cable system, composite 50mm drivers and two decorative wood-look finishes. With its 24-ohm impedance, in-line microphone cable and optional balanced-cable support, it is positioned for listeners who want a versatile over-ear model for both portable and desktop audio systems.
