The star of this release is a free copy of the Roland TB-303 in the form of the Midilab JC-303, which has decent sound and excellent prospects. She is accompanied by the experimental Haas effect and six plug-ins from Nugen Audio in exchange for answers to questions.
In addition, fans of freebies can expect a double compressor for sequential compression of the signal in one window, a Function Loops Psytrance Bass tool for those who are just starting their journey in psy-trance, as well as a universal and flexible Pneuma Pro synthesizer from Ronan Fed. In general, the issue, of course, turned out to be modest, but no less interesting.

Ronan Fed Pneuma Pro
Polyphonic synthesizer. According to the creator, it is flexible and versatility.
The instrument is equipped with four oscillators with multiple sound waveforms, support for synchronization, frequency modulation synthesis and unison. Additionally, users have access to panning and detuning controls, a modulation section and other standard options.

Pneuma Pro is distributed in VST/VST3 format. The synthesizer is compatible with Windows 8 and later operating systems.
Function Loops Psytrance Bass
Bass rompler with 40 patches. The developers note that the tool is suitable for “beginning psy-trance producers.”
The rompler includes patches that are fully mixed and prepared for placement in the mix, requiring no additional processing. Nevertheless, the rompler received a set of settings for more detailed sound correction: for example, you can change the ADSR envelope, add an LFO, distortion and cabinet, and process the signal with filters.
Psytrance Bass is distributed in VST/VST3 and AU formats. The rompler is compatible with operating systems Windows 10 and later, macOS 10.14 and later (Intel/Apple). To download the plugin, a subscription to the developers’ mailing list is required.
Mrugalla ALLHaas Free Stereo Widening Plugin
Haas effect and stereo signal enhancement tool. According to Florian Mrugalla, who created the plugin, ALLHaas “uses dozens of pass filters to place signals in mix space.”
For each processing channel, a distance parameter is available, which is responsible for the number of filters, the choice of frequency and signal cutoff width. All signal changes are shown on the display in the center of the development interface. The plugin also works in Mid/Side mode.
ALLHaas Free Stereo Widening Plugin is distributed as a project source code on GitHub. Users can compile the plugin in the required format themselves using the instructions in the developer’s repository.
ViatorDSP Duplex Comp Lite
Series compressor with two modules. Both can work as an optical or VCA compressor.
The controls are typical for compressors – parameters for attack and decay, compression knee, high-pass filter, and the ratio of the original and processed signal are available for adjustment. In general, everything is simple, understandable and familiar.
Duplex Comp Lite is distributed in VST3 and AU formats. The plugin is compatible with operating systems Windows 10 and later, macOS 10.15 and later (Intel/Apple).
Midilab JC-303
Software copy of the Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer. The plugin is based on Robin Schmidt’s Open303 DSP project and aims to make it available on different platforms and in different formats.
The developers note that they understand that “the sound of the TB-303 is a story not only about sound, but also about feel and the built-in sequencer.” Despite this, the creators tried to recreate the original synthesizer so that the virtual version sounded quite accurately.
Users have access to parameters similar to those of a real device. You can adjust the volume and pitch of the sound, a number of envelope settings, modulation and other options. The developers promise to introduce a sequencer in one of the upcoming updates.
Midilab JC-303 is distributed in VST3, AU and LV2 formats. The synthesizer is compatible with Windows 10 and later, macOS 10.13 and later (Intel/Apple), and Linux operating systems.
Any Nugen Audio plugin
Nugen Audio offers users a choice of six plugins and a $100 discount voucher for completing a survey on the company’s website. A Nugen Audio account is required to participate in the survey, but the developers allow you to register one while answering the questions.
Based on the survey results, users can choose one of six plugins:
- Jotter is a plug-in utility for creating comments and notes with the ability to collaborate;
- Aligner – automatic phase and polarity adjustment tool;
- SigMod is a modulation tool with 13 modules;
- Stereoizer Elements is a stereo expander capable of transforming a mono signal into stereo;
- Monofilter Elements is a low-frequency management tool with the ability to sum all low-frequency signals into mono;
- Stereoplacer Elements is a panorama that allows you to move signals based on their frequency content.
The timing of the survey has not been specified. All of the company’s plugins are available in VST/VST3 and AU formats, and are compatible with operating systems Windows 10 and later, macOS 10.15 and later (Intel/Apple).
