The Marantz UD7007 player can rightfully be considered a universal signal source for a modern home theater system. In addition to the ability to play discs of any type, this device is equipped with a USB connector and an Ethernet interface, and can work in a home network using the DLNA 1.5 protocol.

At the same time, it is possible to play audio/video files of most popular types over the network, including FLAC and DivX plus HD. In addition, the player can connect to the Internet and work with resources such as YouTube or Netflix. Of course, the firmware can be updated over time, and the functionality of the Marantz UD7007 will expand even more. You can connect portable storage devices with compressed music files to the USB connector

The player has full support for BD Live, for which the device is equipped with a built-in memory of 1 GB. To connect video devices, the latest HDMI 1.4a interface with support for 3D video is provided, and another HDMI output is designed to supply an audio signal to the receiver.

You can also output DSD streams from SACDs via HDMI. Audiophile DVD-Audio discs are also supported. Multichannel sound can also be output through the player’s analog audio outputs in downmix mode. Video signals below FullHD resolution can be upscaled to 1080p before output via HDMI.

The device has a high-quality design, in particular, it uses proprietary HDAM analog amplifier modules, as well as balanced and unbalanced audio outputs. Digital-to-analog converters in the audio path have 24-bit / 192 kHz parameters, and the player’s circuit also includes special measures to reduce the jitter level of the digital stream to a minimum value.

To ensure the best sound quality for music programs, you can use the Pure Direct mode, in which the video section of the player is turned off, as well as all additional signal processing circuits. The device is assembled on an anti-resonance chassis, has an additional massive upper damping plate, and all its functional parts are isolated from each other mechanically and electrically.
