Introducing the Shanling EH3 desktop DAC/AMP, a triumphant return to the realm of optimized desktop audio. Building on the success of our EM5 streamer, the EH3 meets the need for a simpler device while delivering flawless performance and elegance.
Power and Versatility
The EH3 delivers up to 1.9 W @ 32 ohms // 205 mW @ 300 ohms in single-band mode and 5.3 W @ 32 ohms // 700 mW @ 300 ohms in balanced mode. However, for the most demanding headphones, the EM7 offers slightly more power.
Precision Power Supply
The EH3 uses a dual power system, cleverly separated into analog and digital, to minimize interference between components for impeccable sound.
Advanced System and Controls
The EH3 is built on the Ingenic X2000 platform and has the same system and control interface as the ET3 CD transport. A central multi-function wheel serves both volume control and menu navigation, complemented by playback and input buttons on the top panel. Users can operate the intuitive circular screen on the front of the device or use the Eddict Player app as a remote control from smartphones and tablets. The EH3 also comes with a remote control.
Unrivaled Connectivity
For wireless playback, EH3 is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 2.4G/5G. It can work as a Bluetooth receiver, supporting LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs. In addition, it easily integrates into local Wi-Fi networks, acting as an Airplay 1 or DLNA endpoint. The rear panel features a versatile array of inputs and outputs, including USB, optical, coaxial and I2S HDMI for use with a DAC, as well as analogue RCA inputs for use with an amplifier.
Expanded Headphone Outputs
The EH3 features an impressive array of 4 headphone outputs, providing compatibility with a wide range of headphones. Single-ended outputs are available via 3.5mm and 6.35mm jacks, while balanced outputs are available via 4.4mm jack and 4-pin XLR.
ET3 Add-on
EH3 is designed as an add-on to the ET3 CD transport. The EH3 and ET3 can be easily connected via a high-quality I2S connection using the new L8 cable, providing maximum CD and MQA CD playback quality.
