HiBy RS2: Digital player with Darwin architecture

Last year HiBy released the revolutionary RS6 digital audio player. This player laid the foundation for Darwin’s premium R2R-based architecture for the brand’s portable digital audio players. Continuing the legacy established by the RS6, HiBy has launched the new RS2 portable digital audio player .

Darwin Audio Evolutionary Architecture
Previously featured in HiBy’s acclaimed RS6 audio player, RS2 introduces Darwin Audio’s evolutionary audio architecture. Refining the traditional R2R stage array technology, it offers many advanced features such as R2R array linearity compensation, 256-channel adjustable FIR filter, harmonic control, NOS/OS switch, etc. This makes the RS2 a completely versatile device that you can use with various headphones.

256-Tap adjustable FIR filter
The Darwin architecture in the RS2 is capable of 16x oversampling. Obviously you can disable the OS using the NOS/OS switch. It consists of various AA filters such as Phase Linearity, High-Fidelity, etc.

NOS/OS Mode Switch
The Darwin architecture on the RS2 also features a NOS/OS mode switch. Users can disable 16x oversampling at any time by simply selecting NOS mode.

Linearity Compensation R2R Ladder Network
HiBy’s Darwin architecture is a good match for traditional R2R ladder DACs. It effectively reduces distortion caused by impedance mismatches in R2R Ladder, delivering natural and clear sound.

Powerful output stage
HiBy has equipped the output stage with a current mode amplifier around the RS2 R2R array. The output stage amplifies the current signal using a powerful OPA1652 OPAMP chip, and the low-pass filter consists of two OPA1612 chips. It delivers clean input voltage and powerful output current to the output stage for dynamic sound.

8x MQA Unfolding
HiBy RS2 supports 8x MQA Unfolding. This provides full support for MQA signal unwrapping, allowing users to experience true, true master-quality high-definition quality.

Dual MicroSD Card Slots
The HiBy RS2 has two microSD card slots, each supporting microSD cards up to 2TB in capacity. Users can equip the RS2 with two 2TB cards and the device will read them simultaneously.

Long Battery Life
HiBy RS2 is equipped with a large 3500mAh rechargeable battery. It offers long playtime of up to 10 hours on a single charge. In standby mode, the device operates for up to 40 days.
