Founded in 1991, Ultrasone began to create a brand that strived to become the epitome of class and innovation, a brand whose products would satisfy the most demanding music lovers. Constantly researching for the best solutions, Ultrasone has produced many innovative technologies and received several patents.
The company’s headquarters are located in Wilenbach, a town near the foothills of the Alps in southern Germany. Although not an international company, Ultrasone nevertheless effectively coordinates sales and marketing activities in more than 50 countries. The financial and technical departments are located in Wilenbach and in neighboring Tutzing, and production is divided between several locations in Germany and Taiwan.
Ultrasone specializes in the manufacture of headphones and improves the knowledge and skills of its engineers day after day. Constant development leads to the fact that Ultrasone produces only high-quality headphones equipped with the latest technology, for which the company has repeatedly received major awards, including Reddot, Plus-X, Exportpreis and many others.
The Ultrasone Edition 8 Carbon headphones have an exclusive ruthenium finish and carbon inserts, and look stylish and sophisticated. Like other models of the company, Edition 8 Carbon is made using selected materials. The ear cups and the shock-absorbing headband pad are made of high-quality genuine leather, pleasant to the touch, durable and hypoallergenic. The headband of the Edition 8 Carbon is made of aluminum anodized in black.
The headphones use the patented S-Logic Natural Surround Sound technology, which provides a spatial stereo image with a natural arrangement of sources without the use of electronic circuits. Ultrasone Edition 8 Carbon is equipped with dynamic emitters with a diameter of 40 mm with a Mylar diaphragm covered with a thin layer of titanium to remove parasitic resonances. The speakers are loaded on a triple phase inverter, which made it possible to obtain deep and uncolored bass from a frequency of 6 Hz, which is a record figure for headphones. At the same time, the housings of the headphones themselves are made closed, which, in combination with the tight fit of the ear pads to the head, provides good protection from external noise.
Thanks to the use of S-Logic technology, the Ultrasone Edition 8 Carbon headphones do not need to develop high sound pressure in order to provide a dynamic and rich picture. This reduces the load on the hearing aid, and therefore the Edition 8 Carbon headphones are highly valued not only among music lovers, but also professional musicians.
With an impedance of 30 ohms, the headphones work well with a variety of players, including portable ones, but to fully realize the potential of the Edition 8 Carbon, it is recommended to connect them to high-end amplifiers. The headphones are equipped with a 1.2-meter cable with a conductor made of high-purity oxygen-free copper and a gold-plated 3.5 mm connector. The Ultrasone Edition 8 Carbon comes with an adapter for 6.3 mm jacks and a 4-meter extension cable, which significantly increases the flexibility of using this model.
