The Singaporean brand SUBTONIC has released its first product – wired in-ear headphones Storm, developed jointly with another company from Singapore – Symphonium Audio.
The headphone housings are made of titanium alloy of the 5th category. The cable is removable from Nightjar Acoustics with 2-pin 0.78 mm connectors. Available with a choice of 3.5 mm, 2.5 mm or 4.4 mm connectors.
Design – 7-driver hybrid. At low frequencies, proprietary reinforcement drivers are used, dual using SLAM (Splitwave Layered Armature Management) technology, at medium and high frequencies – five conventional reinforcement drivers, and two electret emitters act as a super tweeter.
Crossover – with proprietary CTRL (Coherent Tonal Relay Lattice) technology, which ensures minimally noticeable joints between stripes, and high-quality components from Vishay, Rubycon and Panasonic.
The declared frequency range is 3 Hz – 20 kHz, impedance 6.1 Ohm, sensitivity 103 dB. However, the most telling indicator is the price: $5,200.
