In 2024, Philips is set to revamp its entire lineup of headphones in the entry-level and mid-range segments, aiming to achieve a more attractive price-performance ratio, higher sound quality, and significantly longer battery life. Following the releases of the Philips A6219 and the Philips A6709 designed for sports and outdoor activities, the company now introduces the H6509, positioned as a top model in the mid-range category, promising immersive sound experiences within the comfort of home.

These new Bluetooth headphones cater to the growing trend of using headphones for TV viewing, addressing various needs such as minimizing disruptions to family members and neighbors, enhancing dialogue clarity, and providing a more immersive audio experience. The H6509 from Philips features the Hybrid Noise Canceling Pro System, boasting a lightweight, ear-enclosing design, and is equipped with new 40 mm drivers renowned for delivering high-quality sound.

To address the challenges of connecting Bluetooth headphones to a TV, the headphones team collaborated closely with the developers of Philips’ new Titan OS. This partnership resulted in overcoming hurdles related to latencies and lip sync issues, ensuring a seamless and optimized audio experience for users. Through intensive cooperation, the teams successfully tackled these challenges together, enhancing the overall performance and compatibility of Philips Bluetooth headphones with TVs running the Titan OS.

Philips TVs equipped with Titan OS can detect compatible headphones like the H6509 when they are in proximity to the TV. Once detected, the headphone model is automatically displayed on the screen for easy identification. Users can then confirm the connection using the TV’s remote control. By integrating Titan OS, Philips ensures a maximum latency of 100 ms, enhancing the audio experience.

Through the Philips Headphone app, users can customize the sound of the H6509 to suit their personal preferences, ensuring an optimized listening experience.

Furthermore, the H6509 boasts an impressive battery life of up to 60 hours. When the active noise cancellation (ANC) feature is activated, the battery life is slightly reduced to 40 hours, still offering extended usage without frequent recharging.
