DITA Audio, primarily recognized for its premium in-ear monitors, including the flagship Perpetua model, has launched its latest hybrid in-ear headphones, the DITA Project M. These new headphones feature two drivers and are notable for their transparent resin housings, which provide a clear view of the internal components. Each earphone in the DITA Project M series integrates a wide-range dynamic driver alongside a balanced armature driver. Leveraging the extensive expertise of its professional acoustic engineers, DITA Audio ensures that the sound quality of the Project M headphones is characterized by exceptional clarity across a broad frequency spectrum and impressive bass performance.
The hybrid assembly features a versatile dynamic driver PM1+ measuring 9.8 mm from DITA, complemented by a Knowles balanced armature driver for enhanced high-frequency response. Both drivers are securely positioned within a stainless steel chamber, meticulously shaped to ensure optimal alignment. DITA Audio utilized finite element analysis (FEA) acoustic modeling technology to design this sound chamber and sound tube. The entire hybrid assembly is encased in a clear resin blend. The outcome is a sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing headphone that boasts an ergonomic design, providing exceptional comfort even during extended use.
The DITA Project M headphones are equipped with a MOCCA connection cable featuring high-quality Cardas connectors. This cable incorporates 16 strands of single-crystal copper from Cardas, along with 2-pin 0.78 mm connectors and the DITA APV2 interchangeable plug system. The headphones are supplied with both an unbalanced 3.5 mm mini-jack plug and a balanced 4.4 mm plug. Additionally, a Tanos Sustainer Carry case, designed with an industrial aesthetic, is included for convenient storage and transport of the headphones.
The DITA Project M in-ear hybrid headphones are currently available for purchase, with a recommended retail price of $325.
