The hybrid integrated amplifier with DAC Magnat MA 700 is based on proprietary and already proven solutions. The manufacturer once again used a circuit that uses both radio tubes and transistors. According to Magnat, this approach is the key to balanced sound and high performance. The company noted that the ECC 81 tubes used in the preamplifier section undergo careful selection and warming up. The amplifier operates in class A/B. The power supply unit responsible for normal operation has separately stabilized voltages for individual circuits.
Other features of the amplifier part of the device include high-quality capacitors, a shielded toroidal transformer, power supply circuits with independent channels and the presence of a standby mode with low power consumption. As for the built-in DAC, we are talking about a circuit from Cyrrus Logic with support for quality up to 24 bit/192 kHz. A digital signal can be supplied via coaxial or optical connectors, there is even HDMI for easy connection to a TV.
The front panel of the device has a 6.3 mm headphone output and a 3.5 mm mini-jack connection. The front controls are made of durable aluminum, and the high-quality feet of the device have a shock-absorbing rubber insert. Also available is a volume switch function and rotary controls for high and low frequencies.
Among other things, Magnat MA 700 has a built-in phono preamplifier based on Texas Instruments operational amplifiers. It is possible to connect MM and MC heads. A remote control is included. There is also the possibility of wireless connection via Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD.
