The Japanese company Accuphase has released a new impressive power amplifier P-4600 , designed in a classic, recognizable style.
The amplifier is housed in a housing with a thick golden-colored front panel, most of which is occupied by dial indicators. Controls include switches for indicator operation modes, an input sensitivity regulator and a speaker switch. The rear panel contains two pairs of RCA and XLR inputs, two pairs of screw terminals for speaker cables, and a switch for bridge mode and dual mono mode, in which the amplifier can be used for bi-amping.
The amplifier’s power supply is built on a large toroidal transformer, the total capacity of the filter capacitors is 50,000 microfarads. Output power reaches 150 watts into an 8 ohm load and rises to 300 watts into 4 ohms. In bridge mode, the power ratings are 600 Watts and 900 Watts, respectively. Dumping factor – 800 units . With overall dimensions of 465 x 190 x 427 mm, the amplifier weighs 30 kilograms .
The Accuphase P-4600 power amplifier went on sale in the European market at a price of 8890 euros.
